Job DescriptionAs a Senior Trust Admin & Accounting Specialist you will be part of the Family Office of Old Mutual Wealth’s Private Clients and Private Wealth business, that deals exclusively with ultra-high net worth individuals and families.This role utilises expert knowledge in the specific fields of administration / product / process to resolve technical and complex problems, usually in support of administrative queries/issues. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts but works closely in a team to deliver outcomes to the Family Office clients.The role includes the following responsibilities:This role functions as a subject matter expert in a specific field of administration / product / process. Often acts as a point of escalation for matters with higher level of complexity than those handled by Administration Specialists. Strong support role to the Wealth Directors in the Private Clients Family Office.AccountingFull Administration and Accounting function for a set of Trust clients for high-net-worth trusts and families of the family office. This includes drafting the annual Financial Statements for submission to SARS.Processing and reconciliation of transactions.Tax submissions and performing the role of the client’s tax practitioner.Financial reporting.Invoicing of clients.Administration ProcessingFunctions as a subject matter expert in a specific field of administration / product / process in support of the Wealth Director to service family office clients.Often acts as a point of escalation for matters with higher level of complexity than those handled by Administration Specialists.Liaise with clients and external service providers and assist with any other requirements that they may need support with.Personal EffectivenessAccepts and lives the company values.Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks, and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Client facing; personable and presentable.Quality AssuranceAdheres to service and quality standards.Performs quality checks on own work.Working knowledge of basic legal principles. Qualifications and Experience required: Matric.Accounting Degree or Diploma.10+ years’ current, practical and relevant experience in the field of Trust accounting and administration.5+ years’ experience in working with high-net-worth trusts in a family office environment.Proficiency in financial analysis.Accurately interpret complex financial data.Ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards.Excellent accounting, administrative, servicing, coordinating, support, relationship management and innovation skills.Excellent communication skills to convey financial reporting to sophisticated clients.Computer literacy: Word, Excel, online accounting software (like Xero, Pastel).Fully Bilingual in English & Afrikaans (write, read and speak).SkillsEducationClosing Date16 May 2024The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
