Job Description: Our client, a National leader in the Manufacturing industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a seasoned BSc Engineering Operations Manager to be based in their Pinetown, Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal Operation. Main Purpose for the Role: To directly report into the General Manager. To be responsible for the overall effective and efficient management of the Production, Engineering&Logistics Business Units. Key Competency Requirements: At minimum a Qualified Engineer or BSc Degree or 3 Year Production Management Diploma or similar. Qualification in and proven experience in Lean Manufacturing advantageous. GCC government ticket is preferred. At least 5 years extensive Production and Maintenance Management experience within the manufacturing industry with exposure to Financial Management. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Ensure all production targets relating to machine efficiencies, utilisation and waste percentages are attained. Ensure product quality conformance is achieved. Ensure production efficiency and waste targets are met as per the standard. Ensure that relevant targets are met to achieve site profit. Identify and investigate innovation and develop *** projects. Initiate and implement improvement projects. Maintain Compliance of Management Systems, e.g., ISO and Food Safety Production and capacity planning performed weekly, monthly, and annually. Project management and implementation. Responsible for comprehensive production, maintenance&logistics functions. Responsible for safety compliance on site, GMR 2.1 appointee. Accurate and timeous reporting of figures. Assess skills development and training needs. Be aware and ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.
