These jobs were popular with other job seekers Our client within the manufacturing sector is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a 6 month contract basis. The successful individual will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and internal control functions of the finance department. Responsibilities: To ensure statutory compliance and to manage the accounting, reporting and control functions of the Finance department IFRS Compliance to ensure that all relevant standards are adhered to; processes and procedures are put in place for IFRS compliance and ensuring accurate reporting Accurate month end reporting within deadlines Effective management of the external audit, ensuring that audit deadlines are achieved Reviewing and accurate Income Tax, VAT calculations and submissions, and assist with any taxation requests from the Finance Manager Full responsibility for the preparation of the annual budget, accurate budget reporting within deadlines, and accurate loading of budgets onto ERP system Full responsibility for the preparation of monthly Balance sheet forecasts Attend to any budget or forecast related queries Documenting and monitoring risk-based internal controls, developing and managing an internal controls matrix Requirements: CA(SA) or CIMA qualification Experience with integrated ERP systems Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role Experience in a manufacturing/production environment essential Ability to analyse data, concepts and systems efficiently and provide effective feedback and solutions Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
