Join our community that values respect, care, and growth.Financial ControllerCape TownAs our Financial Controller, you willprovide overall revenue control for the Hotel by conducting daily audits to ensure that policies and procedures are followed. Part of your responsibility will be to optimise stock holding and controls as well as purchasing procedures, to ensure maximum price benefits.As our Financial Controller, you will conduct a diverse range of audits, including revenue, cost, and payroll audits. Your findings and proposals will be instrumental in our financial decision-making. Ensuring the accuracy of payroll, revenue, and daily banking, as well as transactions integrity in Front Office and Food & Beverage, and the accuracy of the Trial Balance in Opera and night audit reports, will be key aspects of your role.You will identify variances, investigate any discrepancies, and ensure all revenue queries are resolved promptly. Investigating stock variances and weekly/monthly reporting on stock counts, revenue, cash floats, and petty cash will also form part of your duties.To be considered for this role, a Tertiary Qualification in Accounting/Auditing or an equivalent qualification is a must. This, coupled with an aptitude for figures and systems, and 3-5 years' experience in financial controlling/auditing or a similar position, will make you a strong candidate. Having your Articles will further enhance your application.You will need to demonstrate strong competencies in risk analysis and understanding systems, as well as the ability to identify risks. Your excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, will be essential to ensure clarity and effectiveness. Reliability and adaptability are key, as is the capability to plan and organise efficiently.
