Job DescriptionThe role of the Shared Services Operations Manager is accountable for the execution of tactical business plans at an operational cross-functional team level. The role is further responsible to operate within a value chain (OPS, IT and HC Practice) to drive out a superior employee experience over a period of 3 months to a year. Manages resources across the Shared Service business and get involved with operational and strategic delivery across all teams (WD Support, Payroll, Finance, Tax, MIS, Share Scheme, Travel, I-expense, but not limited).Accountable for execution of tactical business plans (derived from BU Strategy) at operational level.Manages direct (Technical Team Leaders and Specialists) and indirect (MIS Specialists, Testers, Developers and Practice Specialists) reports, usually amounts to between 30 to 100 staff.Owns operational efficiency and quality including an operations balanced scorecard incorporating finance, people, process, and customer dimensions of the business.Integrates decision making across all these spectrums.Contributes to projects impacting on business deliverables (Delivery of level three plans).Makes major operational decisions within business plan.Provides operational and best practice context for internal environment.Builds relationships with peers, stakeholders and or colleagues that impact across the value chain delivery cycle.Responsible for infrastructure management in area of responsibility.Responsible for Contracts Management.Responsible for change management around IT implementations and upgrades.Responsible for clear and effective communication to team and business.Provides technical consulting services where required.Accountable for financial management in area of responsibility.Manages Projects, Provides TechTechnical Support and ensures successful delivery within the Operational Space.Responsible for people management - includes talent management, change leadership.Lead and collaborate with high-performing teams.
