Together with more than 230 colleges, universities, and corporate partners, we are helping to unlock human potential.What We’re Looking For:We are looking for an Independant Gym Instructor who would be required to oversee planning, programming and implementation of all group training sessions and health and wellness initiatives related to the gym, including monitoring of all equipment in the gym space on a regular basis. The Gym Instructor will also be required to conduct the virtual Pre-Exercise Screening (PES) process for all employees who wish to use our corporate gym. This would entail assisting with booking of the PES, conducting the PES online via Google Hangouts and ensuring that all administrative requirements regarding the PES process are kept updated.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Conduct all pre-exercise screening (PES) admin requirements which include booking of the PES, conducting the PES online via Google Hangouts and ensuring that all administrative requirements regarding the process are kept up to date on a weekly basis.Ensure processing of all data in line with the POPI Act.Weekly monitoring of the gym space and all equipment.Plan, programme and present all group training sessions to 2U employees with a hybrid approach (onsite and online).Be the face of the onsite gym and manage and coordinate the calendar and corresponding intranet pages.Show 2U employees safe and proper exercise techniques and the correct way to use exercise equipment.Monitor all equipment and maintenance issues in the gym on a weekly basis.Planning, programming and conducting fitness initiatives for the 2U Cape Town region. Things That Should Be In Your Background: Grade 12 qualification.A relevant Personal Training or Sports Science qualification.At least 2 years relevant personal training and pre-exercise screening experience.Proficient in Google Suite/Workspace (i.e. google docs, google sheets, etc.) advantageous.Good administrative skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Assertiveness and ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work under pressure.Reliable, displays integrity and sound ethics.First Aid Qualification with AED certification (advantageous).Ability to do shift work.
