Scope Sales Engineer role (>50% of the time out of the office) and fully focused on Public Utilities in SA Attendance of sales meetings and to ensure all relevant information from assigned areas Pro-actively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working environmental protection and continual improvement. Top liaise with end users, contractors, distributors etc. to promote entire range professionally To further develop a leading position within the market by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships Full responsibility and accountability for all business sales and tendering Products and services are delivered to customer as per SLA and customer satisfaction is maintained All client requests are responded to within 24 hours and customer visits take place as scheduled Customer information is captured on system as it is received after each visit, weekly call plans are submitted to Manager and call reports are prepared by due date Quotations are completed as and when required, sign off quotes within limit of authority and quotation feedback after each visit is provided Call reports are prepared by due date and three-monthly order forecast updated monthly Attendance and participation at exhibitions as discussed with Manager Presentations are delivered to customer as required, opportunities are supported with point of sale material and monthly presentation to management of market research and marketing activities in own area is done All other duties as relevant to the post Purpose Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by using specialised knowledge of the relevant technology to give customers the required information. Responsible for meeting a specific sales budget or target. Matric National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Process or Instrumentation is required Valid Drivers Licence with own transport Min 5yrs proven technical sales experience is essential in a similar industry Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
