Core purpose of the roleThe Senior Manager: Organisational (Org) Design, Talent and Change Management is a strategic partner to the business, Learning and Development and Human Capital Operations and acts as a leader across multiple Centres of Excellence including Talent Management, Organisational Design and Effectiveness, Change Management, and Culture & Leadership. The role (in partnership with Group Talent) develops and implements Organisational Design, Talent and Change Management strategic frameworks, policies, change management initiatives and programmes. This includes the co-creation of the talent strategy and priorities and crafting solutions to talent problems critical to business performance and growth, and designing workforce planning solutions and initiatives that meet business strategy and objectives. Key deliverables and outputsLead, manage and act as subject matter expert to Barloworld Equipment Org Design, Talent and Change Management activities, projects and initiatives aligned to business objectives to create a positive employee experience and engagement that inspires productivity.Develop and drive the implementation of Barloworld Equipment Org Design, Talent and Change Managementstrategies, policies, processes, practices, and frameworks that support a high performing culture, ensuring alignment with Barloworld Equipment Human Capital and business strategic imperatives. Oversee the design and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Conduct Employee Engagement and Pulse Surveys through related platforms.Compile and monitor Barloworld Equipment Org Design, Talent and Change Management budget within prescribed guidelines and governances, ensuring expenditure is within approved budget. Partner closely with Group Talent, Business, Learning and Development, Wellness, Business Excellence and Human Capital Operations to manage and coordinate the delivery of Org Design, Talent, and Change Management projects, plans and initiatives that evolve performance management systems and drive transformational change.Provide advice, guidance, insight, training, and expertise to internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to Org Design, Talent and Change Management policies and processes.Drive management understanding and utilisation of the Integrated Employee Value Model (IEVM) tool set to have IEVM become a live manifestation in Barloworld Equipment.Provide clear direction and decisive leadership to direct report(s), ensuring all are aligned to the goals, have a clear purpose and achieve defined performance standards.Design workforce planning solutions and initiatives that meet business imperatives.Oversee and manage all activities related to Barloworld Equipment Performance Optimisation Cycle as per agreed timelines and ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business.Plan and ensure effective execution of Barloworld Equipment Talent Reviews/Forums to build bench-strength aligned with overall business strategy, including overseeing, and managing all activities related to Barloworld Equipment Intellectual Capital Review and Succession Planning processes. Collaborate with Learning and Development and business leaders to ensure effective functional and leadership development interventions and preparation of BWE talent for career growth and advancement in alignment with accelerated development requirements, succession planning and talent retention strategies.Manage relationships with external service providers e.g. psychometric assessment providers and employee engagement survey, OD consultants, auditors etc. Conduct accurate analysis on any Org Design, Talent and Change Management related data and statistics, to provide detailed and relevant feedback to business stakeholders, enabling them to make better talent decisions. Manage the Psychometric Assessments, Talent Potential and 360 Leadership Assessments through own expertise and/or external service providers.Track and monitor online exit interview trends and ensure proactive identification, reporting and mitigation of talent retention trends and risks. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organisational performance. Qualification, Experience and Competencies Minimum Required Qualifications Essential: • Post-graduate qualification in Human Sciences e.g. HR/Organisational Psychology, Business Management or related field. Advantageous: • Registration with the South African Board of Personnel Practice (SABPP).Minimum Experience• Eight years’ experience in Human Capital focusing on talent management, organisational effectiveness, and strategy.• Three years’ specialised experience in organisational design, effectiveness, change management and culture.• Three years’ experience with interpreting psychometric assessments.• Three years’ management/leadership experience.• Expertise in strategy development, talent management including performance optimisation processes, succession planning and talent retention techniques.• Multi-regional or international experience would be an advantage.Minimum Required CompetenciesStrong Verbal and Written communication (L3).Conceptual thinking and Strategic Leadership (L2).Analytical thinking, problem-solving and continuous improvement (L3).
