The successful candidate will take up the role of a quality engineer to ensure that problem analysis is done to the required Group guidelines and meets the customer's expectations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEstablishing root causes and implement corrective actions for allocated quality problems.Interfacing with various departments within VWSAPresent findings / reports at various forums and management structuresLiaising with overseas counterparts with regard to build/quality mattersCo-ordinate and be accountable for Quality issues.Lead cross functional teams when required.Monitor and reporting of non-conformances and processes to drive early detection and initiate corrective actions.Sound knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturing processesSound problem-solving skills and Quality Tools e.g., Fishbone, FMEA, SPC & DOEExperience in interpreting measuring reports and technical drawingsProficiency in database software packages (MS SQL, Oracle etc.)ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Have process and material knowledge of welding and sealer joints in body construction.Sound knowledge of weld and sealer applications equipment, inclusive of monitoring systems and controlPreferred:• BSc Degree / B-Tech Mechanical / Metallurgy or Mechatronics EngineeringThe following will be advantageous:• Analytically minded with the ability and inclination to work accurately with databases.• System based data extraction, interpretation and analysis.• Toolmaker Trade• A knowledge of German language• Experience in engineering packages (CATIA, CAD)Desired Experience & Qualification• Have a minimum National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical.
