We are seeking a Senior QA Tester for a permanent role based in Kenya Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual and automated testing. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JMeter). Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman. Knowledge of SQL and database testing techniques. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and business stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input on testability and potential quality risks. Continuously improve and optimize test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate and conduct regression testing. Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics to project and client stakeholders.
