Job Title: Process EngineerLocation: Johannesburg, GautengRemuneration: Market-RelatedJob Summary:The Process Engineer will be responsible for all activities related to the effective and professional compilation of proposals/tenders as well as cost-effective, compliant, fit-for-purpose, safe engineering, design, construction support, and commissioning assistance during the execution of projects. This shall be rendered in the Water market segments.Duties and Responsibilities:Deliver engineered packages to comply with the overall project budget, schedule, and quality standardsFit for purpose engineering and design in all required industry segmentsManage hours, budgets, and change/variations in a manner that enhances gross profits on projectsEnsure that projects are executed by the relevant Client and company policies, procedures, and frameworksConstruction, installation, and commissioning project supportReporting as and when requiredReviewing relevant tender and/or project specifications to ensure clarity of scopeEngineering and design package generation for proposals/bids and projectsDefine, organize, execute, and coordinate process engineering scope/assignmentsPerform process engineering design for proposals/tenders and projects including but not limited to piping systems, pump hydraulics, tank and vessels, heat transfer, control equipment, and process equipmentDevelop project deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, basis of designs, schedules, project estimates, bid documents, equipment specifications, and the likePlan and organize project work together with a multidisciplinary teamResearch, design, and specify equipment, controls, and processes for chemical, mechanical, hydraulic, and other industrial systemsProvide on-site construction management assistance during installation, commission, and start-up of equipment and related systemsExecution and assistance during FAT or plant simulationsTravel required and/as dependent on the project and client needsExercise creative thinking to devise new systems and innovative ways to workUnderstand complex water processes and be able to analyze, design, and troubleshootDevelop and maintain relationships with technology and equipment suppliersAuthoring/verifying all required technical documentation as required for a projectDevelop and implement standard operating proceduresRequirements:Effective analytical and problem-solving skillsCapacity to handle pressureAbility to work in a team and mentor peersAttention to detailEffective communication with both internal and external stakeholdersOutput/results and deliverables drivenAt least 10 years of related work experienceDemonstrated experience in engineering and execution of projects in the Water sector preferredProfessionally qualified with a bachelor’s degreeProfessional Engineer Certification (ECSA) required#J-18808-Ljbffr
