Quality healthcare is unaffordable for close to 80% of South Africans; even for the minority on medical aid, they are faced with increasing premiums, decreasing medical savings and therefore they have to spend more out-of-pocket for healthcare.Athena has created and launched an instalment payment solution, that allows patients to split their medical bill into monthly instalments, allowing them to get the care they need now and pay for it later. This means healthcare providers can broaden their patient base, without worrying about the risk of payment collection.
