Our client is looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead their IT Systems Development team. You’ll be responsible for managing the development of innovative business IT systems, prioritising tasks, and ensuring the timely delivery of development projects. This is a leadership role requiring you to work closely with stakeholders, drive team performance, and align development tasks with business strategy. Key Responsibilities: Define and maintain the application software roadmap to meet business needs. Lead a team of developers in delivering solutions by integrating complex information. Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Manage and report on team performance, setting objectives and ensuring accountability. Oversee the development and implementation of new and existing applications, driving innovation. Ensure operational compliance and monitor information security measures. Required Skills and Experience: 6+ years of experience in System Development (Financial Insurance industry experience is advantageous). 3-6 years of management experience, overseeing resources and project delivery. Strong knowledge of IT development practices, including application development, software testing, and project management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and guide teams effectively. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages and development methodologies. Experience in IT data management, policy implementation, and security measures.
