Sales Specialist – IBM ESA

As an IBM Sales Specialist you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through the promotion and implementation of IBM’s embedded solutions within client organizations. Your role will involve understanding client needs, identifying opportunities, and effectively positioning IBM’s ESA offerings to meet those needs. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue targets through targeted new ESA Partners as well as existing ones while ensuring the successful execution of vendor rebate objectives and strategies. KPA&PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Partner Enablement and Support: Assist IBM Software Partners in creating commercially available BP-branded solutions that combine IBM offerings with the partner’s value-add. Work closely with partners to understand their business strategies, programs, and complete product portfolios. Conduct review sessions and development planning with partners to ensure alignment with IBM’s ESA business objectives. Vendor Relationship Management: Assist IBM Software Partners in creating commercially available BP-branded solutions that combine IBM offerings with the partner’s value-add. Work closely with partners to understand their business strategies, programs, and complete product portfolios. Conduct review sessions and development planning with partners to ensure alignment with IBM’s ESA business objectives. ESA Business Management: Champion the ESA program within First Distribution, ensuring satisfactory execution of the business strategy plan. Continuously review and refine the monthly business strategy to drive sales growth and meet revenue targets. Utilize the IBM Partner Plus Portal for partner onboarding and understand IBM ESA contract formats to create agreements with partners. Sales Execution and Reporting: Demonstrate sales growth by driving opportunity progression and pipeline creation, reporting regularly to vendors using CRM systems. Ensure sales targets are achieved and report any deviations with detailed reasoning. Collaborate with other Sales Specialists to address ESA-related questions and provide assistance as needed. Marketing Planning and Business Development: Conduct quarterly and annual marketing planning sessions with vendors and targeted partners to enable demand generation and enhance partner enablement. Plan quarterly promotional programs and develop a business development plan to track key sales and marketing strategies. Training and Collaboration: Attend training sessions provided by vendors to become self-sufficient in selling IBM ESA Software. Work collaboratively with other Sales Specialists in the team to share knowledge and support each other in achieving ESA-related goals. REQUIREMENTS Internal training associated with competencies: During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with a meticulously crafted learning map designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience seamlessly. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in sales, business development, or partner management within the technology industry. Strong understanding of IBM technology offerings and ESA program guidelines. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. Physical Requirements: Own vehicle. Office Requirements Work-from-office environment. Semi-formal dress code. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00. Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal. Reliable transport to and from the office.
