About the job Project Accountant Project Accountant Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or financial management Drivers license essential Ability to manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities An understanding of and experience within the Solar PV market is advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Projects required Proficiency in Pastel Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills Able to work in a multicultural environment and with multidisciplinary teams Strong intellectual capacity and able to deal with complexity Strong ambition and personal drive to meet objectives, with an open, transparent style and flexible approach Ability to work under pressure and gives what is required to get the job done and takes personal accountability for success Responsibilities: Develop and maintain costing templates Perform financial planning/budgeting for projects Monitor project level profit and loss to ensure that the projects are delivering expected returns, analysis of P&L variances, as well as cash flow forecasts Oversee payroll functions Coordinate compliance for WCA, PAYE, VAT, other SARS submissions Administer creditor payments Administer debtors recovery Drive improvements through processes and technology which contribute to performance enhancements of the various business units Aid in project costing process, including review of financial and operational assumptions Develop and maintain current knowledge of the Solar PV market in Southern Africa, including competitors, potential partners, key stakeholders, and regulatory changes in the region.
