Minimum requirements for the role:A tertiary qualification in food sciences is essential for this role. Previous experience having worked in an NPD or ingredient application role handling development of batch packs for the meat and poultry and related industries is preferred for the role.Previous experience formulating products with an understanding of meat processing and meat blocks if preferred.Must have good English communication skills both verbal and written.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Handling all NPD/ingredient applications of batch packs for the meat and poultry and related industries being able to troubleshoot a variety of products at customer sites when needed to do so.Expanding companys product offering by developing new, innovative and cost-effective products.Researching new technology and industry trends.Liaising and working with customers to determine their requirements and developing tailored products as per their requests.Initiating technical solutions to product issues and troubleshooting at customer sites by conducting factory trials.Formulating ideas and strategies to improve on problem areas with regards to certain spice ingredient products.Driving new product and service opportunities for customers alongside the sales team.Developing new products for new markets the company wants to enter.Conducting on-site testing and evaluation of products as requested by customers.Implementing quality control/assurance systems to increase production output and shelf life of products.Handling new product development and troubleshooting with key customers in order to get new innovative product lines, improve current products and assist where there may be issues with their product ranges.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
