Responsibilities:Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, to ensure the company''s financial health and sustainability.Establish and implement financial procedures in line with organisational requirementsTimely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in line with organisational requirements and deadlines.Establish and prepare accurate and timely information for budget monitoringProvide financial management advice on revisions of budgets, preparing , periodical forecasts and any changes neededImplementation of Project Finance for the different projects that the company is involved with.Be the lead when the company goes through auditing.Management and reconciliation of the bank and cash accounts, preparation of the weekly cash counts and monthly financial records including cashbooks to be submitted to Head Office, ensuring financial and resource accountability and effective management for records as required for auditing.Disbursement of cash advances and reconciliation to ensure recovery.Control of salary payments to staff, tax liabilities, reconciling the same and monitoring medical expenses, subsistence allowances, mobile phone usage, etc.Collection and filing of regular financial reports and budget records.Represent the companys budgets and finances to relevant stakeholders when requested.Maintain relationships with the different stakeholders such as banks, lenders etcRecruit and manage Finance/Administration staff in line with good organisational.Develop financial strategies in alignment with the company''s long-term goals, including capital structure optimization, investment opportunities, and new market entries.Lead the finance team in the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis that provide insight into the company''s financial performance.Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations in all operating countries.Work closely with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues.Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, auditors, and other stakeholders.Oversee the risk management policies of the company and ensure appropriate measures are in place.Drive cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements across the organization.Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, foundation executives, auditors and public officials. Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor''s degree in Finance and Accounting,A minimum of 5 years of experience working in finance of which 2 years should be in a senior financial management role.Previous experience in Project Finance and modelling in the renewable energy or construction sector or related industries would be an added advantage.Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Experience with Oracle and Navision accounting software systems.Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic financial planning.Familiarity with the regulatory environment and financial landscape in Africa.Experience in fundraising and managing investor relationships.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Willing to travel in Africa and abroad.
