The position is based in Johannesburg and is a morning-only role.DutiesPreparation of Monthly and Annual Financial Accounts:Prepare monthly and annual financial accounts for audit purposes.Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.Depreciation of Fixed Assets:Manage the depreciation process for fixed assets.Instalment Sale Agreements:Handle instalment sale agreements related to financial transactions.Monthly VAT Returns:Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.Drafting Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare:Utilise CaseWare to draft accurate and compliant annual financial statements.Assist in Managing the Finance Department:Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth operations and development.Annual BBBEE Certificate Preparation (Construction Sector):Plan, prepare, and complete the annual Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) certificate.QualificationsMinimum: BCom in AccountingExperience+ – 5 Years in a similar role.SkillsFinancial Data AnalysesProficient in analysing financial data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions based on data insights.AccountingStrong understanding of accounting principles, including financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.ITFamiliarity with relevant financial software and tools, including SAP Business One, Enterprise (preferable), CaseWare, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and SAGE 300.ReportingAbility to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly and annual accounts, VAT returns, and other financial statements.CommunicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders effectively.Time ManagementProven ability to manage tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and prioritise work effectively.CollaborationA team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
