About the job Client Support Data EngineerThis remote role is an exciting opportunity for a highly analyticalperson with strong client services anda knack for troubleshooting.Viable candidates must have experience in the f inancial investments/ asset management industry. This Client Support Data Engineer will work closely with one of the company's clients to ensure that the company implementation is supported and includes data manipulation, modelling and being responsible for the understanding of inter-dependencies between various data sources and business processes involving data flow. Will also be involved in designing and building data management solutions using the software and other tools.Minimum skills and knowledge requiredTertiary degree in BSc Computer Science, B.IT or Informatics related degrees, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science or an Engineering degreeWorking experience in data integration and transformationData analysis, modelling and surfacingData cleaning / Integrity checking1+ year experience in a programming language (such as Python)Experience of creating reports using Excel or equivalentSQL, SSIS, database scripting (stored procedures, user defined functions, queries, triggers)Iterative testing including debugging and refactoringConstructing data queries by combining multiple data sourcesPresent information using data visualization techniques (such as QlikView, PowerBI and Tableau)Experience of consuming APIs (advantageous)Any sort of ETL or Data Warehousing knowledge (advantageous)Statistical languages (such as R and MATLAB) (advantageous)Key performance areasThe configuration and implementation of the organisation at our various clientsUnderstand the business requirements of the organisations clients, the focus being the research and investment process of these Asset ManagersConstruct end to end data service solutionLiaise and Interface with clients in a support role, providing 2nd Tier support and enhancement serviceUnderstand and manage the clients data requirements, the data being specific to the financial marketsContribute towards a team that develops, constructs, tests and maintains architectures (such as data bases and large-scale processing systems)Ensure data architecture will support the requirements of the clients businessEmploy a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems togetherRecommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and qualityAutomate work by using process flow toolsProvide feedback to the Development team regarding new functionality and issue loggingCreation of user interfaces allowing users to upload their own data#J-18808-Ljbffr
