Job descriptionA fast-growing Hotels & Leisure Group is seeking the services of Hospitality Group Operations Director.The purpose of the job is to conceptualise and design a comprehensive end-to-end operations strategy and business plan for the Operations of Indalo Hotels & Leisure to ensure sustainability and profitability across South Africa. The role develops and drives forward long-term strategic planning strategies and policies within the portfolio, to facilitate the achievement of Indalo Hotels and Leisure’s aims and objectives by ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of operational requirements. It furthermore has a strong business-development component.NOTE SALARY: NEGOTIABLE WITH SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE DEPENDING ON YEARS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum qualifications requiredPostgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) in Business / Commerce (MBA advantageous)Tertiary qualification of a B-Tech or National Diploma in Hospitality Management StudiesDriver's licenceMinimum Experience10 - 12 years’ experience in the Hotels & Leisure Industry10+ years’ experience at a Senior Manager level in the Hospitality SectorMinimum of 10 years of SA Hospitality Management experience with at least 5 years of which are as a multi-unit GM role, preferably with a large group or International Branded establishment with management of at least 250 keys plus assets.Experience with Hotel and oversees the operating framework for all Hotel & Leisure Operations.Defines policies, processes and procedures to support the achievement of strategic objectives and operational plansIdentifies critical service and efficiency points to support and enhance rentals, leasing, hotel & Leisure management operations, supply chain management.Develops and recommends to Exco and Board the business plans, operational requirements, organisational structure, staffing and budgets that support operational programmes, strategies and operationsUpdates, amends and devises changes to the operating model as the business grows and developsOperational ManagementDevelops and oversees the overall strategy and plan to support the most efficient and profitable acquisitionCreates and oversees consistent operating models across hotel and leisure management operations to ensure the most effective and profitable operationsCollaborates with stakeholders in the business to determine and forecast demands according to tourism peak seasons.Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to define pricing models and approaches to meet seasonal demandEngages with key volume suppliers and spearheads pricing and supply negotiationsCollaborates with relevant internal stakeholders to set targets and objectives to ensure profitability, sustainability and growthMonitors achievement of strategic targets and objectives and provides input into corrective actions where requiredNegotiates and contracts on effective and agreed SLAsSupply Chain ManagementDevelops and oversees the overall Supply Chain Management function to support the most cost efficient and value adding sourcing of all the commodities utilised and consumedcreates and oversees consistent governance and operating models across the and submits comprehensive operational reports according to agreed timelinesCompiles reports for the CEO, Board and Board Sub-CommitteesSubmits and presents reports to EXCO and the BoardDevelops,
