To support the generation and development of new business opportunities across the organisation. The incumbent will be required to support organic and inorganic growth and to build market position by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Moreover, the role is responsible for the sector specific business growth, covering potential customers for the base and partnership offers. In addition, the role is responsible for managing marketing and branding capabilities as well as offer management/development in the organisation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Strategic and Operational Implementation Provide input into the development of the department’s operational strategic plan and implementation thereof. Participate and advise on policy development and implementation. Review the department’s performance and make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness. Report on the department as required by internal and external stakeholders. Manage the implementation service delivery improvement programmes. Ensure departmental teams are fully aware of their duties, responsibilities, and performance targets in accordance with the strategic plan. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management of all business processes within the department. Ensure adherence to the Driving Safety Standards (DSS). New Business Development Management Develop and implement the Business Expansion strategy within the department to grow the organisation and customer base. Oversee and accountable for new business relationships, generate, and negotiate new income for Masana to an agreed annual volume target and target of revenue. Support new business opportunities by engaging potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities. Establish market insights through industry research. Review quality of leads to identify potential prospects and support conversion to commercialised business. Managing and maintaining a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current using Customer Relationship Management tools. Create and be accountable for all customer proposals, contracts, and any further documentation, following Masana procedures. Establish an understanding of the customer’s strategic objectives and challenges in order to develop and propose solutions in line with customer requirements. Conduct research through engagement with the Head: Sales and Marketing and Account Managers in order to determine sector requirements and needs. Leading and coordinating response to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner. Facilitate the effective implementation of the New Business Development process for the successful onboarding of new customers. Generate a standard template to be used by Business Development teams. Marketing Management Manage the brand value and identity of Masana. Manage brand growth to strengthen market share of Masana products and solutions. Review and implement marketing and branding strategies and associated implementation plans. Manage the implementation of corporate branding and identity. Review marketing collateral e.g., sales pack, brochures, pamphlets etc. Engage in cross collaboration with third-party and bp marketing to increase the organisation's marketing footprint. Manage the implementation of marketing strategies for new product launches. Offer Management and Development Management Ensure Sales team is fully aware of Masana value offering. Provide guidance in the enhancement of current market offers to improve market share in priority sectors. Manage collaborative efforts across all relevant departments to develop and promote new market offers for existing priority sectors. Review current solutions to identify new opportunities in future priority sectors. Manage cross-functional collaboration to develop and promote new market offers for future priority sectors. Manage third-party collaboration to enhance existing offers within Masana’s current ecosystem. Manage the packaging and readiness including commercialisation of products/solutions to take to market. People Management Manage Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel and processes within the department. Determining staffing levels and preparing motivations for the filling of vacancies to complement functional objectives and requirements. Define and adjust the role boundaries, workflow process and job design against established service delivery requirements and statutory regulations. Ensure that performance agreements and development plans are developed and implemented for all staff within the department. Conducting appraisals to measure performance against agreed objectives, counselling, and consulting with personnel on developmental goals, career paths and short-term targets and standards. Monitor the adequacy of current training interventions through the evaluation of competencies demonstrated in the workplace applicants. Prepare and/or approve progress and assessment reports for inclusion into the consolidated Skills Development Plan of the department. Qualification and experience Essential: A post graduate degree majoring in Marketing/Sales and Commerce. At least 8 years of experience with a demonstrable track record and skills/experience in Sales and Marketing. Experience in managing direct reports in delivering multiple projects. Strong track record of business development and managing customer relationships. Knowledge and understanding of the Petrochemical/Energy industry would be advantageous. Demonstrated track record of developing and managing senior level customer relationships. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
