Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create Alert Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa This career opportunity is available at Mirabilis a division of Santam for a Compliance Administrator, who will be based in Johannesburg: Illovo.What will make you successful in this role?Compliance Administration and Assurance activitiesOverall responsibility for compliance administration and assurance functions of the business, including but not limited to: New Broker applications and Due DiligencesContinuous review and follow up of o/s intermediary agreementsIntermediary oversight and maintenance on business systemsMonthly verification of FSP status of brokersAssist with Broker premium collection status Terms of Business Agreement (TOBA) applications/administrationSanction screening of local and international clientsUpdating and maintenance of Gift registerAssist representatives with CPD, FAIS requirements and Fit and ProperSupport business with TCF requirementsWeekly reporting and maintenance of Complaints registerSupport business with annual verification of PSP/BB-BEE status of brokers Assist with any ad-hoc Compliance related functionsOverall responsibility for compliance functions of the BU (in consultation with Santam Specialist Solutions Compliance), including but not limited to:Keep up to date with compliance developments (FSCA/PA notices etc), advise the business and/or implement processes to ensure compliance.Maintain Mirabilis Contract register. Ensure adherence to Santam Group Policies and procedures and the DOA.Assist with preparation of Compliance reports for Board, Risk Committee and EXCO meetings.Drive awareness and communication to staff and EXCO on compliance related matters and developments.RiskAssist with Mirabilis Risk Appetite statements, Incident register and Risk Register.Serve as Mirabilis Risk system Champion – responsible for all system inputting and updating. Participate in Risk Committee Meetings and/or projects (if required).Report POPIA breaches to Santam Privacy Office.Liaison (Internal and External)Liaise with various Group departments/ individuals as and when required. Manage and maintain successful business relationships with relevant clients. Ensure that clients are provided with consistent, superior service and products.Handle and resolve all relevant client queries within authority levels and liaise with service providers where appropriate.Work in conjunction with all internal resources and support structures to achieve desired business outcomes.General AdministrationAttend to general correspondence when required.Attend to all administration relating to the duties identified above.Qualification and ExperienceMatricRE5 and RE1Post matric qualification preferably in Law, Compliance or Risk Management.3 years’ experience in short-term insurance FAIS compliance an advantageSkillsComputer Literacy (Word, Excel)Good command of English languageAnalysis and judgementClient orientation InitiativeInterpersonal skillsOrganisational awarenessPlanning and organisingTeamworkCore Competencies Cultivates innovation - Contributing independently Customer focus - Contributing independently Drives results - Contributing independently Collaborates - Contributing independently Being resilient - Contributing independently About The CompanySantam is the market leader in the general insurance industry in Southern Africa.
