ENVIRONMENT: An independent engineering firm able to provide existing businesses access to an engineering department for the development of products and engineered solutions, is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Randburg-based team. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 5 years work experience in relevant field of engineering and management and CAD especially in Solidworks. DUTIES: Setting up of project requirements and schedules. Scope generation. Task delegation and tracking. Management of the engineering team. Liaising with client. Estimation and Quote generation. Progress report generation. Conducting disciplinary hearings. Site visits and commissioning. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 5 years’ work experience in relevant field of Engineering and Management. Entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to manage a team. CAD especially in Solidworks. Work using a product management system (PDM) and vault. Development of manufacturing drawings. Hands-on experience with machines. Sage accounting experience. Proficient in office products such as Teams, Excel and Word. Experience in mining machines (jaw’s, cones, apron, and conveyors) advantageous.
