Job Requisition and Talent Acquisition contact REQ: 134134 Job Family Project, Process and Product Product Manage Self: Professional Job Purpose To manage and drive development, implementation, and maintenance of key business solutions within the Solutions Innovation area. The solutions must meet business requirements, meet Business Case objectives, and create business value. This requires managing (end to end) the strategy; planning; organising; negotiating; staffing and controlling of all aspects of products, projects, or programmes for the portfolio in ensuring the successful implementation of solutions to realise the business cluster strategy. The role extends beyond onboarding to cover managing the product or solution throughout its life cycle. The Product Development Manager provides expert advice and counsel to functional/ and non-functional user personnel and project teams on the most complex aspects of integration of product capabilities. Job Responsibilities Develop relevant solutions and product offerings informed by research and segment insights; competitive pricing and understanding of client needs. Continuous market exploration to identify product and market opportunities in collaboration with other areas. Find best in class solutions that leverages emerging innovation, technology and latest industry trends to facilitate creation of solutions that solve business problems. Respond efficiently to problems arising by using appropriate problem identification techniques in order to propose a solution. Define new product initiatives and enhancements to existing products. Assist in defining the operational business requirements of the solution (KPI'S, OKR’s, SLA's processes and procedures and reporting) through translating organisational strategy into functional strategy and assigning accountability to relevant stakeholders. Manage solution performance by monitoring take-up, impact, adherence to business case and KPIs – through Solution Dashboards and Business Case Tracking. Own, proactively manage and prioritise the product roadmaps and backlogs (including capabilities) – Own major feature development and iterate forward. Ensure that product adheres to all compliance, operational risk, security and market conduct standards by following governance processes. Ensure end to end design is aligned to architecture road maps by understanding the landscape and through regular engagement with relevant stakeholders. Leverage emerging innovation to pilot, prototype and incubate new solution. Ensure effective optimisation of systems, processes and technology by doing route cause analysis and taking corrective measurement and ensuring standards defined per technology with regard to integrations are adhered to. Take responsibility for implementation of programme and project governance that aligns to AGILE Methodologies, processes and project management disciplines. Effectively manage the delivery of products/ services to the stakeholders by establishing governance forums and by understanding, assessing, and managing escalated risks associated with solutions, products, programmes and projects. Job Responsibilities Continue Deliver a world class service through others by ensuring a client centric culture through required interventions. Continuously encourage customer centricity by defining/developing tiered SLA's in order to improve delivery and cost efficiencies. Define and agree service level of operational and call centre support - including support and maintenance, application health and stability. Ensure optimal team delivery by considering and making amendments to processes, structures, operating models and business plans. Enhance the credibility of the function by reviewing project metrics and meeting with the project managers to give direction to project execution. Drive efficiencies by managing branch budgets (recoveries of staff incl) through responsible budget planning and management of resources. Identify areas of resource inefficiencies and promote optimisation through promoting multi-skilling and addressing capacity gaps by reviewing and improving work processes. Ensure transformational target are met through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment, retention and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list for department. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals and support business strategies that improve the corporate image by ensuring self, managers and team participation in Nedbank culture building initiatives. Participate and ensure managers encourage staff to participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy. Ensure issues raised in culture survey are addressed and results are improved by ensuring action plans are created Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Preferred Qualification • Bachelor’s degree in Digital / Technology / Business Studies Essential Certifications Minimum Experience Level 5 - 7 years’ experience in a product development environment of which at least 2 years must have been in a feeder area to this role – Digital / Innovation / AGILE / SAFe Retail Banking, especially Secured Lending experience will be advantageous.
