The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Finance Officer, Budgeting and Grants.Under the supervision of the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer Budgeting and Grants will be responsible for ensuring proper financial management, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations and procedures for the Creating Opportunities for Youth and Women in Africa (COYWA) Programme.Required Skills and Competenciesi. Experience in budget preparation and administration, and management of partners’ funds.ii. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, SAP or similar ERP is required.iii. Practical experience in managing development partner funds.iv. A sharp and analytical mind with creative thinking and problem-solving skills.v. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of relevant post-qualification experience in Accounting, Financial Management, or Auditing within public sector institutions, international organisations, or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or internationally.Professional qualifications in accounting, such as CPA, CA, ACCA, and CIMA or equivalent, are required.Good knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is an added advantage.OrA bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Financial Management, Commerce or a related field.
