You will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties, as well as ensure that work is accurately completed in a timely manner and to ensure the results are reliable, accurate and complete. Other duties include but are not limited to:Review and update the supplier database to ensure complete and accurate valid information (including BEE)Ensure approvals and invoices are properly authorised and are in accordance with the appropriate level of authorityEnsure the correct GL account & supplier account is utilised when processing invoices, pay cards & credit cards in EvolutionEnsure audit deliverables are maintained according to the standard required by the auditorsRecord inter-divisional splitsBank balance weekly reportingEnsure AP batches are posted weeklyPreparation and submission of creditors reconciliationsTimeous payment of invoices (within agreed payment terms)Timeous follow up of all AP queriesForward remittance advice to suppliers after completion of payment runSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills.Ability to work well in a team as well as independentlyEducation:Completed Degree/Diploma in Finance/AccountingJob Experience & Skills Required:Minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable/CreditorsExperience with Sage Evolution/PastelMust have dealt with Book Values of over R20 million per monthAdvanced Excel skillsSolid bookkeeping/Accounts Payable knowledgeAbility to cope under pressureExcellent communication skillsTeam PlayerDeadline drivenMeticulous organisational and time management skills APPLY NOW!
