An opportunity exists for an experienced bilingual (French and English) Operations Manager that has extensive experience in Managing Mining Process Plants and understands Operations and Maintenance in the Mining sector. The company has experienced substantial growth and now requires a seasoned professional to assist with the operations management of the business. The company delivers the following services:Project Support (Project Management, Operational Readiness, Procurement Support),Operations Support (Operations and Maintenance Management, Maintenance optimisation, Skills Development)Skills SupplySystems Implementation (EAM, CMMS, DMS, Condition monitoring)The company has operations in various African countries and companies in Mauritius, South Africa, France, Guinea and Angola.The candidate will be required to travel regularly to the various operating sites, and will have the flexibility to work at any of the offices in the group (France Calvados, South Africa Cape, Mauritius Port Louis) or remotely. The Operations Manager will be responsible to manage certain operational contracts, carry out consulting work including Operations and Asset Management assessments, and for certain business development initiatives.So if you are looking for an adventure and challenge and want to be part of a young and energetic company wanting to contribute to Africas development, then this opportunity will be for you.Duties and Responsibilities:Management of Operational services Contracts (Operations and/or Maintenance; Operational Readiness)Assist with selection and appointment of team for services contracts, or support from partner companiesMobilisation of team membersDevelopment of implementation/ services plan for client, set up steercom and drive regular reviews of progress, ensure deliverables are metManage team members to ensure that contract deliverables are metVisit sites regularly to meet with team and clientOperations and Asset Management Assessments and consulting:Carry out Operations and Asset Management Assessments for clients to identify gaps and opportunities, which will lead into proposal developmentProgramme manage and participate in the assessments or consulting work (incl system implementation) and manage personnel/partners to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are metPresent findings and proposals to clientsBusiness Development initiativesIdentify pipeline of potential clients and contracts,Identify tenders to participate in,Support proposal development including costings,Client liaison and contract negotiationsDeveloping partnerships, identify partners for certain opportunitiesStakeholder ManagementEnsure ongoing communication with clientEnsure safety, legal and company policies are adhered to.Implement a culture of safe operations and maintenance.More than 10 years experience in Operations and/or Maintenance, Asset management, Maintenance management, Business development in a senior role gained within the Mining/Oil and Gas Industry (Fixed and Mobile Plant)Qualifications:National Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical -, Industrial -, Electrical Engineering , - Mining, - Metallurgical EngineeringAdditional Requirements:Project management skills and certification will be an advantage (PMP or equivalent)Advanced knowledge of operations and maintenance processes, reliability engineering, planning and scheduling, continuous improvement and workforce optimisationKnowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)- and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Knowledge of TPM and RCM concepts and principles.Knowledge of ISO 55000/50001 standards will be an advantageLean and Six Sigma certifications will be beneficialPortuguese communications skills will be an advantageRemain composed and resilientFocused on achieving resultsProblem solvingAnalytical thinkingAbility to function well when under pressure and meet tight timelinesHave a mind-set and commitment to customer serviceCan manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and progress to completion#J-18808-Ljbffr
