Primary purposeTo manage the regional fleet operations ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations, while also managing costs effectively. To deliver on customer contract requirements within the agreed service levels, vehicle availability and quality expectations.Minimum RequirementsFirst degree/NQF 7 or Diploma in Transport / Logistics / or similar5 - 8 years of experience in Fleet Management, with involvement in Fleet Operations, Maintenance or LogisticsTechnical Competence RequirementClient Service Delivery managementFostering Client RelationshipsOrganizational and leadership skillsKnowledge of legislation and the regulated environmentOperational ExcellenceFinancial Performance (Cost & Efficiency)Business Relationship ManagementBusiness AcumenStakeholder ManagementPeople & Team ManagementComputer literacy and experience and knowledge working on fleet management systemVehicle technical knowledgeFINANCIAL MANAGEMENT In conjunction with applicable business units prepare inputs for budgets linked to area of responsibility.Monitor and track financial performance against the budget, analysing deviations and highlighting impacts to head office.Maximize opportunities for cost saving and profit maximization, overseeing re-billing and purchase order processes with clients and putting in place strategies to proactively manage costs.Effective budget management to ensure business goals are achieved without breaching legal and regulatory compliance and ethical standardsCUSTOMER CENTRICITYMonitor end to end query and complaint processes, ensuring timeously resolution and that customer expectations are met.Act as escalation point to remove obstacles to service delivery and participate in troubleshooting and complex query resolution.Collaborating with other functions to improve customer satisfaction in the region.Meet with customers to assess customer satisfaction and address specific areas of concern or improvement of services.OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCEEffectively manage regional matters and objectives linked to contracts under management ensuring customer requirements are understood and satisfied.Review and report on the contract achievement against agreed service levels, putting in place actions to improve on service delivery and performance.Oversee and monitor end of contract activities up to disposal of vehicles.Plan, oversee, monitor and improve service delivery to the specific contract requirements: SLA or maintenance agreements; against agreed service levels.Put in place collaborations plans and resources to respond to unscheduled events -breakdowns/vehicle problemsGOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCEOperationally execute appropriate governance and control processes and procedures to navigate implementation of customer contracts within defined operational frameworks, considering risks and delivery constraints.Regular review and maintenance of adherence to internal processes and procedures linked to areas of responsibility.Oversee the management of the spare key register and the distribution of keys.Oversee vehicle stock count ensuring that all company assets are accounted for.Monitor re-billing and purchase order exceptions and timely resolution.Keep abreast of relevant regulatory requirements and monitor and control compliance within the region e.g. licensing of vehiclesEnsure compliance with Health and Safety requirements within the region, and as part of Customer contract delivery.Ensure required Health and Safety roles (First Aid, Fire Marshall etc) are allocated within the region.Execute on processes and procedures to implement a quality management system ensuring quality of service against internal standards and contract parameters and specifications.Participate in audits on Bidvest or Clients on contract and resolve audit issues within the acceptable period.Perform spot checks and health and safety inspections, identifying process changes and other actions required for remediation.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENTDevelop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver services in accordance with the expectations of the customers and organization.Maintain external relationships to ensure fleet services meet the required service standards.Oversee the coordination with vendors and service providers to provide the relevant services as part of the region’s service delivery.Participate in expectations management of standards, negotiation and scheduling of work with suppliers.Negotiate, manage and oversee office lease agreements across the region.#J-18808-Ljbffr
