This involves adhering to local regulations, analyzing productivity, and enhancing processes. Key objectives include enhancing equipment availability and reliability, guiding Annual Maintenance Plans and Maintenance Budgets, and monitoring maintenance costs closely. The aim is to ensure cost-effective maintenance and lower Total Cost of Ownership while maintaining equipment performance over its lifecycle. Additionally, maintaining an updated Periodic-Year Replacement Program for mobile equipment and components is crucial. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Key Roles: Lead all aspects of the refuelling vehicle fleet operations management activities Provide support and management support to Aviation Depots for their corresponding refuelling vehicle fleets and closely follow escalation process Understand requirements of business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment to local and global goals Work closely with Regional Procurement Team to ensure effective Management fleet related supply chain and ensure the timely development and management of all fleet related supplier agreements from an operational perspective Work closely with the Regional Procurement Team on commercial aspects of fleet related supplier agreements Embed Fleet Management Systems into depot operational use Provide detailed reports to Country and Regional Operational Teams to enable effective use of resources, services, and assets for Company Aviation Vehicle Fleet Manage the usage and upkeep of TAG Maintenance application for Aviation Vehicle Maintenance including planning of preventative maintenance, tracking all maintenance activities including equipment downtime and costs for preventative and corrective maintenance activities Analyze all costs and identify cost saving opportunities for aviation fleet related activities Promote and manage best practice to all Aviation Vehicle users Continuous improvement activities control derived from performance analysis (KPIs analysis), proactive tasks effectiveness assessment and from root-cause analysis to overcome “bad-actors” performance. Coordinate with local AOMs to ensure that an updated program for the turnaround, overhaul and major maintenance of equipment is in place for each country/depot. Ensure that Standard Maintenance Policies and Processes are defined by the Puma Aviation Maintenance teams Assist in evaluating (technically and economically) the need to continue repairing or rather replace with new one (equipment /component) Prepare Monthly Aviation Vehicle Maintenance Report for Africa covering main KPIs Stewardship the WO (Work Order) Backlog for Africa on weekly basis to ensure plans includes up-dated priority work Define criticality of the equipment and components, as well as criticality of spare parts; in order to define maintenance strategy and prioritize the planning and scheduling tasks Review Annual Maintenance Plans (AMP) and the Annual Maintenance Budgets for the vehicles at each aviation depot with the local in-country AOM Monitor the execution of the Annual Vehicle Maintenance Plans (AMP) and the Annual Maintenance Budget on monthly basis Guide the local AOMs in proper control and reduction of corrective work, using Failures Analysis and developing actions to address the “bad-actors” of the vehicle equipment performance, for both Chassis and the Fuel Package equipment Ensure recording of events and failures, their occurrence in time and duration, and failure modes associated, to allow identification of "bad-actors" in the performance of equipment by the country maintenance teams Assist local depot teams in ensuring that mobile Refueling Equipment is fully functional, up to date and equipment reliability is improved Develop and coordinate the implementation of Puma Aviation Vehicle Maintenance strategy Implement mechanisms, processes and procedures to ensure effective monitoring of Competency for In-Country maintenance teams and contractors standards Assist with compiling yearly budget, monthly financial control and execution and compile action plans against deviations Provide weekly vehicle maintenance activity overview during weekly aviation operations meetings Develop and maintain the Aviation Vehicle Replacement Plan Other duties: Provide hands-on technical support to countries/depots when required in exceptional circumstances or very specialize installation/equipment Coordinate specialized Vehicle Maintenance Training to the in-country teams when required Requirements: Engineering Degree is desired and/or at least minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy vehicle/truck industry in a maintenance, design, operational, and/or audit capacity Ready to travel domestically and internationally Skills and Experience: Previous experience of working with multi vehicle type commercial fleets. Good communication skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure and deal with high volumes of incoming queries. Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail. Outstanding interpersonal skills including ability to professionally challenge and question requests from the business. A proactive/can do attitude to work and ability to work on own initiative. The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and external to the business. Have a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Teams, Office, and Outlook Familiarity of Fleet Management software would be a plus Competencies: Safety and risk assessment oriented Good coaching, communication and organizational skills Strong initiative and independence Ability to influence change and compliance with diverse teams and cultures Key Relationships and Department Overview: The Regional Aviation Operations Manager, Global Head of Aviation and the broader Aviation team.
