Overview Hire Resolve’s client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and driving revenue growth within the logistics industry in Gauteng. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in the strategic expansion and growth of our business. Responsibilities: Cash flow and working capital management Preparation of the monthly management report packs and sales and marketing reports Provisions and accrual management and control Ensure a robust staff attraction, retention, and reward strategy Build and continue building a team culture that ensures absolute alignment with the greater goals of the business Ensure constructive performance management processes that are aimed at growing people Ensure that adequate training and development of staff is driven Drive the company’s brand into the market and maintain a presence Ensure that corporate brand identity is protected Effective PR and communications in the market Drive all internal and external marketing campaigns Ensure that staff utilization is in line with budget and that maximum utilization is achieved Ensure work allocated is aligned with the aspirations of staff, availability, and capability Balance productivity with billing, revenue, and EBIT and ensure that utilization of staff results in meeting budgetary financial targets Develop new and existing client relationships and ensure either new business or sell-on work Provide support in and/or lead contract renewals Provide innovative supply chain solutions to clients that result in annuity-based revenue Ensure that the business delivers on the set strategy Formulate the business growth strategy Provide strategic direction and input into the next 3–5 years Provide strategic direction in relation to the attainment of growth within existing and new markets and or customers and ensure that the business delivers on this strategy Provide strategic direction in relation to markets, customers, competitors, regions, and countries that we should be in Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets Strong negotiation and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
