Overview A leading beverage company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Demand Planner to join their team. The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for: Maintaining PO and inventory information and reports to ensure timely delivery of merchandise while meeting initial fill rate and turn goals. Developing monthly sales and inventory forecasts through vendor management tools and demand forecasting. Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities. Developing and measuring inventory levels and service performance through KPIs. Maintaining all reports that manage inventory levels and maintenance of backorders, in conjunction with communication to management about actions being taken to resolve any issues. Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. Successfully communicating forecast and inventory estimations to management. Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies. Conducting monthly forecast maintenance. Addressing demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 3 years experience using forecasting/demand planning modules in an ERP system. Excellent MS Office and demonstrated Excel skills. Solid understanding of Inventory Management Practices and Procedures. The capability to work with large datasets and develop diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics models is a critical prerequisite. Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
