Here, boredom is banished, provided you're up for a challenge and eager to craft something extraordinary. This role is pivotal and reports directly to the Financial Planning&Analysis Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct thorough investigations into our current end-to-end processes to fully comprehend financial interactions, proposing strategic enhancements. Seek out opportunities for automation through review and redesign of existing processes. Automate existing processes, drive technological improvements and build future fit efficiencies around cost optimization. Meticulously document business processes, pinpointing and implementing improvements by understanding interdependencies, system intricacies, and potential automation risks within the finance framework. Spearhead and contribute to projects aimed at advancing finance/business processes, serving as the finance team's lead representative. Forge strong partnerships with IT, Tech, Product and BI departments to ensure delivery of finance projects. Gain a deep understanding of the data points and data flow throughout the business that affect the accuracy, completeness and validity of financial reporting. Facilitate the building of BI reports through working with the BI team to include the relevant data points within the correct cubes for reporting purposes. Attributes required: Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools. A collaborative spirit with a proactive mindset. Keen attention to detail coupled with robust analytical and critical thinking skills. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal. Qualifications and Experience: A BCom or equivalent tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a finance/BI role. Proficient understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and analysis gained through practical experience. Experience in E-Commerce, Retail, or Tech industries is a plus. Advanced skills in Excel. Basic knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with systems like TM1, Looker, Sage, and Board is beneficial.
