Duties&Responsibilities Duties&Responsibilities: Assist the surgical team to perform surgical procedures on patients successfully Ensure accurate charging by managing clocking time Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors Provide safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors To take responsibility of Theatre and cases on a daily basis where you are allocated Effective Risk prevention and management Attends handover of report at shift commencement Effective communication with patients regarding their care Refer all complaints from patients and doctors to sister-in-charge of the unit/ CNS Assumes responsibility for maintaining competence in theatre processes Mentoring and supervision of junior healthcare providers and support staff Facilitation of a learning environment Desired Experience&Qualification Education and Experience Grade 12 or NQF level 4 qualification Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse Post basic qualification in Operating theatre will be an added advantage 2 year or more general theatre Experience essential Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation ( SANC ) Attach: CV in word format, Certified qualification documents, Certified ID, Driver’s License, Work Visa/ RTW (if applicable), Head and shoulder colour photo, Latest Salary slip.
