ENVIRONMENT: A forward-thinking Business & Employment Solutions provider in Joburg, focused on youth empowerment, is seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven Project Manager. The role involves providing oversight for multiple initiatives and projects, monitoring their progress from inception to successful completion, and ensuring that client expectations are met. Responsibilities include managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, adhering to the company’s project governance framework. Additionally, the Scrum Master will oversee various initiatives, track their progress and completion, and ensure they align with our client’s expectations. DUTIES: Responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost. Delivers specified requirements and meets customer satisfaction. Delivers the required product(s) for each project, phase, or stage. Ensures that quality is achieved as planned. Delivers to time and cost within agreed tolerances. Manages the people, work, and resources involved. Applies SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles, ensuring that the agreed Agile practices are followed. Senior Scrum Masters lead and facilitate the removal of impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. The primary responsibility of the Senior Scrum Master is to manage the self-organizing, self-managing team to achieve its goals. Facilitates, teaches, and coaches team practices, implementing and supporting SAFe principles and practices. Manages the team to coordinate with other teams in the programme. Manages the daily activities of the project, mentors the team, and tracks and monitors the progress of the project. Facilitates team engagements for better efficiency, bringing stakeholders and the team closer to ensure total alignment on required work. Facilitates events such as daily stand-up meetings, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and decision-making processes to ensure optimal value. Acts as a safeguard for the team. Aligns across other teams at Scrum of Scrums to improve overall programme delivery. Leads team effort in relentless improvement. Builds a high-performing team, focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance, and coaches the team in self-management. Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events. Runs and facilitates core meetings and activities: Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, story writing, sizing, prioritizing, Daily stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile (SAFe), etc., to explain other methodologies and motivate the team if needed. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications (Minimum Requirements) Formal Education & Certification Minimum of 5 years’ work experience within IT projects, 5 must be on Project Management Minimum Qualifications: B. Com or equivalent Project Management Professional, SAFE Certification, Agile Methodology, or Prince2 or other project management certifications Knowledge Requirements Knowledge & Experience Experience with: Agile Waterfall Financial Services or Asset Management environments Preferred Qualifications: Professional Body/Association: Association of Project Managers (APMG) UK – Nice to have but not a prerequisite Project Management Institute (PMI), USA – Nice to have but not a prerequisite Prince2 Agile Experience (added advantage) BSc or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field MBA or similarly relevant graduate degree would be an asset Previous work experience as a Project Manager or a similar leadership role ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrated Leadership and Management skills Ability to plan, organize, and supervise Results-oriented Ability to adapt quickly to changes and shift priorities Software and hardware proficiency Change management Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating Knowledge of IT and investment environments Familiarity with Projects/IT Legislation and Regulatory Acts Strong familiarity with software programs such as Excel and Microsoft Projects Experience working with Agile tools such as DevOps, Jira, and Kanban Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors from diverse disciplines Ability to obtain stakeholder buy-in from senior management, clients, and other departments Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
