Senior Consultant - Geochemistry / Environmental Geology / Contaminated Land

Core Functions: Manage geochemistry, contamination, and remediation projects; Compile proposals and reports; Coordinate project schedules; Undertake site assessments/field work; Manage budgets; Appoint and manage sub-contractors; Develop and sustain new business and client relationships; and Mentor junior colleagues. Competencies and Characteristics: Knowledge: Excellent geochemistry/geology/chemistry/industrial waste&mine residue characterisation and management/pollution source identification and control knowledge; Ability: Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment; Work Ethic: Self-starter and committed team player; Growth: Demonstrate growing ability to create new work for self and others; Market Awareness: Be alert to market developments and opportunity for new work; Communication: Excellent reporting, communication, and presentation skills; and Skills: Analytical and integrative skills across diverse sectors. Qualifications: Honours or higher in Geochemistry or Geology or Hydrogeology or Chemistry or higher / other relevant degree; Sci.Nat. Registration; 8 to 12 years relevant experience; Valid driver's license and own transport; and Willingness to travel within and outside South Africa.
