A well-established private developer with an ongoing pipeline of commercial projects is looking to hire a development professional to help run their day-to-day operations. With a focus on industrial properties and convenience retail, their excellent track record ensures that they are often brought projects by tenants, JV partners, land owners and funds which they are asked to deliver. With several pipeline projects up to 1 billion in value, a space exists for a senior individual who is able to negotiate all preconstruction contracts from a legal, design, financial, leasing and partnership point of view at the highest level. You would also be called upon to assist the development managers (junior to senior) who are responsible for specific new builds. Whilst business development as such is not a priority, your ability to package and assist with delivery of large complex and mixed-use schemes will help to lighten the current CEO's load. Other operational responsibilities could include anything from reporting to shareholders, budgeting via treasury, assisting in professional appointments and management as well as ensuring a smooth running team.
