Our client is searching for a Site Supervisor / Foreman to join their team in Johannesburg.This Site Supervisor / Foreman will be required to travel for jobs in and outside of the country.The primary purpose of the jobThe successful execution and completion of a Project by the specified contract terms and conditions. DutiesEnsure daily tasks are set and allocated to site employees.Oversee the completion of allocated tasks by site employees.Ensure that site employees undergo site induction and medicals to client requirements.Track work progress against schedule and provide feedback.Delegate tasks as required and follow up on progress made.Ensure all machines are on-site and operational.Report back on any problems with machinery to theContracts/Workshop Manager.Implement and maintain proper records of employees deployed to the site.Forward relevant working documents to the Contracts ManagerImplement and maintain a filing system.Check, file and forward time sheets to the Contracts Manager.Reconcile the number of staff on-site and request site allowances fromContracts Manager for the site-related work by theCompany Policy and Procedure.File expense claims and invoices and forward them to the accountant according to Company Policy and Procedure.Ensure the company's Cloud is updated daily by yourself or by an appointed QC employee.Communicate daily progress to Contracts Secretary/ies.Communicate all site-related queries and feedback from Clients to relevant stakeholders.Ensure staff adhere to Company and Client rules and regulations.Effective daily management of staff.Expedient application of the disciplinary policies and procedures where relevant.Efficiently plan the execution of the project to minimise time and costs without compromising quality.Measure the performance against time and cost budgets.Effectively deal with installation challenges whether by own discretion and improvisation or assistance from the CMMaintain effective communication channels with the CM to report on progress and challenges.Maintain a positive rapport with the clients's site personnel to ensure good communication and relationships.Constructively attend site meetings as required.Conduct productive toolbox talks daily.Ensure proper care is taken of equipment and all is returned.Continuously promote quality and compliance to the team on site.Maintain standards and set a positive example to site employees and clients alike.Minimum qualification requiredGrade 12Computer literacy will be an advantage.Minimum Experience required5 years of Construction supervisionGeomembrane lining experience will be an advantage.EB Drivers licence Personality or behavioural requirements of the incumbent? Good leadership quality.Good communication is required.Must work well with Clients, Contractors and Engineers.Sober habits.
