The Group is looking for an Airfreight Import Controller to join our Johannesburg Office.Roles and Responsibilities:Intelligent strong client interface and management a priorityManaging support staff and ensuring good quality control and strong communicationsTrack and trace of shipments – extensive client communicationManage registration and release clerks.Pre-costing and invoicing, including quality control before all documents are forward to clients.Debtors’ queries, including all client queries or problem solving or advice/support.Managing all aspects of import clearingChecking registration and docs to complete import check list for customs departmentAssisting with registrations when necessaryPlanning delivery of air freight cargoClosing file on Management system after deliveryPro forma claimsRequirements:MatricDiploma / Preference Degree in Logistics - not a necessityExperience:5 – 10 years’ experience in Logistics, specifically airfreightVery knowledgeable in all aspects of logistics – invoicing, estimates, rate negotiations, imports/exports, clearing, forwarding, and warehousing.Client engagementHands-on operational experience would be preferable.Computer experience required:Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, internet usageCargoWise experience a necessity on forwarding, clearing, invoicing and billing#J-18808-Ljbffr
