As the EdTech Trainer, you will have the thrilling opportunity to empower facilitators and educators at schools with the latest technology tools and strategies. Whether delivering dynamic in-person training sessions or engaging in online training programs, you will be at the forefront of shaping the education landscape. With your strong skills in training, planning, coordinating, reporting, and communication, you will be the driving force behind ensuring the success of these educators and their students. What you'll do Facilitator training: Train new facilitators within new and existing schools being launched to successfully perform their facilitator role, which largely entails the following duties; Work with and support learners in their online journey Ensure learners get the most benefit from the programmes according to company requirements Complete administrative work Support all ICT equipment for the best functionality Upskill new facilitators Perform ongoing training of existing schools’ facilitators for upskilling within the facilitator role Conduct maintenance and refresher training of facilitators to continue effective facilitation Implement remediation training to support underperforming facilitators. Monitor and drive facilitator completion of LMS modules and quizzes according to launch training requirements Drive and collate training feedback after launches Monitor and drive all training-related quiz completions Educator training: Train educators within new schools being launched to ensure that a school’s educators are: Informed about the purpose of their school’s relationship with the company Introduced to the online programmes that support what they teach Enabled to understand how their learners will benefit from the online programmes Guided to gain access to educator tools and content provided within the programmes to bolster their teaching Encouraged to play an active role alongside the facilitator to ensure maximum learning benefit from online programmes for learners Informed, understand, and support the active time and usage requirements for the success of the company programmes and appreciate the consequences of a school underperforming Invested in the intervention Conduct training of existing schools’ educators when learner programmes are extended to higher grades Conduct training of new educators at existing schools Implement remedial training of educators where there is a lack of buy-in to support the intervention Progress checks: Conduct checks according to prescribed standards during growth before training and for existing schools during training Report findings after checks to relevant role players Resolve challenges while completing checks, if within the training realm General Coordinate and provide ongoing training according to annual training plans and growth processes Conduct training according to training requests made by facilitators, the Training Lead and operational teams Monitor training attendance of facilitators and make provision for non-attendance Monitor training records and edit data for accuracy Proactively reflect on training content to ensure that it is up-to-date and accurate Collaborate to update or create training content Attend upskilling sessions on new training material Stay current with knowledge of the online programmes and the company’s implementation Attend internal workshops to develop and maintain standards of the company’s team Report weekly to the Training Lead Monthly peer review of training delivery based on observation of training sessions There are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires. These may be assigned to you as part of your role. Key performance indicators: The Training Lead will conduct a termly KPI session in which the following metrics will be assessed: 100% Facilitator and Educator training needs for region fulfilled Facilitator and Educator average training rating of 4 or more (Scale 1-5) Facilitator bi-weekly training attendance - ?90% attendance required by facilitators Post-launch facilitator feedback average training rating of 4 or more (Scale 1-5) New facilitator LMS Facilitator Induction course and accompanying module and quiz completion - ?90% successful completion in month 1 New school active time - 80% time target achieved within two weeks Quality execution of ad-hoc projects and tasks What you'll need A Matric certificate (minimum qualification) Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills Training expertise in the education sector At least 2 years' work experience as a trainer Strong presentation skills and experience training adults of all ages are desirable Experience in using technology in training Experience conducting both face-to-face and online training Strong planning, training, and development skills A strong affinity towards teamwork Excellent record-keeping skills and time management Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Google Slides/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Excel, Google Documents/Word, Gmail/Outlook and other communication and project management tools Good knowledge of the current education curriculum (CAPS) in primary school is advantageous Knowledge of e-learning learner programmes is advantageous Valid driver’s licence and own transport – willingness to travel to rural areas and townships An innovative organisation that was set up to support the use of technology in education and pursue outcomes-based interventions using data to drive decisions and impact.
