Santam Human Resources has a position available for a Rewards Analyst , based in Cape Town or Johannesburg. The Rewards Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and communication of reward and wellness interventions. What will make you successful in this role? Assists with the annual remuneration review process in terms of scenario planning, data validation, collation and analysis. Responsible for benchmarking and profiling of new and existing roles to the internal classification structure. Providing remuneration reports for the business. Acts as a champion of the business recognition schemes and platforms. Work closely with the Human Capital Business Partners. Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems. Research market trends, legislation, and compensation surveys to make recommendations for policy change and competitive positioning as appropriate. Effectively partner with HR and BU’s to manage, consult, and resolve reward issues. Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance on reward related policies and ensure process integrity. Recommend approaches to facilitate the effective delivery of pay programs and related policies (relating to administration&audit controls). Qualification and Experience A degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience (preferably B.Com). Formal training in reward fundamentals (ex. GRP certification) 2-3 years reward / payroll experience Experience in creating dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyse data. Knowledge Understand the legal and regulatory environment relating to employee reward. Experience in REMChannel reporting and data extraction. Some financial knowledge (recommended) e.g. basic understanding of financial statements and the budgeting process. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to write communication tailored for the specific audience Business acumen Ability to build and maintain good internal and external relationships Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
