Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Business Development Manager at Chemical Distribution Company - Gauteng, JohannesburgOur client, a well-established, market leading distributor of speciality chemicals used in a broad range of sectors including polymers, plastics, paper and packaging, seeks a Business Development Manager who will lead and support the development of the organisation's strategy to grow.Reporting to the General Manager, the successful incumbent will ensure the development of an efficient, effective, sustainable, compliant and profitable speciality chemical distribution business, whilst coordinating and supporting the management of key global principals, to ensure principal satisfaction and maximise business.Duties will include:Acquiring new distributorship in terms of portfolio extensionResearching, identifying and developing potential new principals and prioritising those to target in-line with the company's business objectives and strategyPlanning the launch of new products/distributorships in accordance with business development proceduresEnsuring the effective hand-over of new principals to the sales teamAssisting, coordinating and supporting the sales team with the introduction of new principals into other countries and regionsManaging product launches and withdrawals with the sales teamManaging, coordinating and supporting all distribution business related contracts and ensuring complianceObtaining and maintaining all information needed to assess and ensure product regulation and complianceMonitoring and reviewing inventory with the sales teamObtaining and maintaining certificates for the Quality system (ISO standards etc.), as well as technical data sheets for salesIdeal candidates will hold:A proven sales track record in the South African chemical industryRelevant distribution experience gained in related industries, such as polymers, plastics, paints, coatings, paper, glass, packaging and/or chemical manufacturingProficiency with MS OfficeA chemistry background and qualification will be seen as an advantageThe number of jobs in each salary range for all:#J-18808-Ljbffr
