CEO - Major Infrastructure Project in AfricaPosition: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Location: West Africa (with rotational travel)About the Role:We seek a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of Africa's significant infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a transformative project substantially impacting the region’s development. The role demands exceptional leadership, extensive experience in delivering large-scale onshore infrastructure projects, and the ability to navigate complex interactions with local governments and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership and direction for the infrastructure project, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.Engage with high-level local government officials, stakeholders, and partners to ensure smooth project implementation and compliance with local regulations.Manage a large, diverse team of over 1,000 professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Ensure effective resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.Demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills in remote and challenging locations.Report to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on project progress, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.Requirements:Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale onshore infrastructure projects, ideally across different regions of Africa.Extensive experience as a CEO or in a similar senior leadership role within complex programs.Demonstrated ability to work effectively on the client side, clearly understanding the unique challenges. (Contractor experience will not be considered)Strong background in managing projects with budgets exceeding $400 million.Experience leading large teams of 1,000+ people.Ability to operate effectively in remote locations and under challenging conditions.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and decision-making abilities.Project experience should include one of the following in Africa - Road, Airport, Construction, Mining, Onshore Oil & Gas etcPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Prior experience in infrastructure development within the African context.Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage.What We Offer:Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.Opportunity to lead a landmark infrastructure project with significant regional impact.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Rotational travel to and from Africa, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.#J-18808-Ljbffr
