Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of accounting experience and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Analyze financial data and variances to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning and decision-making.Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing documentation and explanations as needed.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including tax laws and reporting obligations.Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, assisting with training and professional development initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Management, to support business objectives and initiatives.Stay current on accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices, recommending process improvements and efficiencies as appropriate.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles, with the ability to apply them effectively in a corporate setting.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting and analysis.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing junior accounting staff.#J-18808-Ljbffr
