The main function of this position is to identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with key account holders. To communicate new product developments to prospective clients.The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are:Develop, implement and maintain strategic action plans for business development for and associated divisions within Sub-Sahara AfricaPromote existing and new products and solutions from the various divisions within Power Solutions to industryLiaise and consult with all existing and new consultants, system integrators, end users and distributors, including other divisions of the Group on product offerings and solutions from the various divisions (full basket of products)Coordinate technical information/training for sales staff/customers from the various divisionsStrategic decision making and problem solution by analysing information, products and evaluating results and designs to choose the best products or solutions from the different divisionsRepresent the company and associated divisions at customer events, exhibitions in the regionCo-ordinate multi divisional project tenders and quotations and provide feedback and review to the National Sales ManagerWith input from National Sales Manager, compile, update, review and manage project/ installer/end user and consultant databaseMonthly reporting on Sales and Marketing progress in the region for the DivisionsManagement and control of Business follow up in the Region for the DivisionBuild long-term relationships with new and existing customersThe key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:Must have a tertiary qualification (Preferably an Electrical qualification)A minimum of 4-5 years key account Sales and Marketing experienceHave experience calling on consulting engineers and system integratorsCode 08 Drivers LicenseUpdated and valid passport and Travel vaccinations may be requiredMust be prepared to travel within the region to outlying Industrial customersMust be computer literateThe skills and competencies required for this position amongst others would be:Good written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build rapportStrong people skillsStrong negotiation skillsMeticulous and pay attention to detailTechnical skillsProficient organisational, interpersonal and supervisory skillsResourceful, inventive and self confidentMust be able to multi-taskGood training and presentation skillsAbility to independently resolve conflictSalary - R60 - R70 000pm CTC
