Our Johannesburg Study Abroad Sports department is looking to add an Assistant Sports Recruiter to their team and help place talented students to study and play college sports in the USA. We offer a dynamic and challenging environment where we achieve our business objectives and have fun doing it.You’re perfect for this position if you:Have a genuine passion and interest in sportsAre outgoing, articulate, and have excellent written and verbal communication skillsHave strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslyCan adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAre proactive and able to take initiativeAre confident in initiating and maintaining meaningful conversations over the phone with prospective students and handling inquiriesAre computer literate, particularly with Excel, Word, and OutlookExtra points if you have:Played USA university/college sportsExperience in US college sports either as a player, coach, or administratorStudied in the USAA child who is or has recently played college sportsYour role and responsibilities:Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:Student-Athlete Recruitment:Conducting recruitment calls and booking consultationsFollowing up and confirming meeting attendanceReminding applicants of application deadlinesAssisting with the evaluation of academic and athletic potential of studentsIdentifying and attending career days and educational expos at top schools around South AfricaIdentifying and attending sporting events across South AfricaBuilding meaningful connections with coaches and key staff at leading South African high schools, assisting in the facilitation of successful partnerships and recruitment opportunitiesProactively engaging with clients to foster strong relationships and secure valuable referrals, contributing to the growth of our networkEnsuring timely follow-ups and facilitating a smooth contract review process to enhance client satisfaction and retentionAssisting in the development and improvement of the company’s recruitment processesAssisting with attaining the team KPIs which are subject to review weeklyReporting and Compliance:Tracking and recording all client communications and interactions on the CRM systemEnsuring all tasks and activities are up to date and not overdueEnsuring a timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and company objectivesEnsuring all client personal and financial information is securely handled and storedAd-hoc:Providing regular feedback to the Business Director and Manager on progress, issues, or concernsStaying up to date on product knowledge so you’re able to effectively market products and consult prospective student-athletes 15 people have applied for this job. 235 people have viewed this job.
