The accounts payable (AP) department plays an integral role in managing cash flow and partnering with the broader business through processing, tracking, and recording payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.We are searching for a skilled and experienced AP specialist to join or finance team. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.Objectives of this roleSupport the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systemsStrengthen and grow relationships with vendors through timely payments and being the primary contact for escalationsAssist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable processExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reportingComply with applicable regulationsResponsibilitiesManaging the offshore AP team, located in IndiaOwnership of and ensuring that the various SOP's are appropriately updated as neededManaging the relationship with Procurement and ensuring vendors are loaded timeously and appropriatelyReview invoices for appropriate documentation and accurate postingReview month end vendor recons prior to paymentEnsuring appropriate SARB approvals are obtained timeously for any applicable foreign paymentsPrimary contact for BBBEE related queries on vendor spendBeing involved in and managing ad-hoc projects in the AP space as neededAssist senior financial officers as neededIn time acting as the AP escalation point for AfricaSkills and qualificationsUnderstanding principles of finance and accountingSuperb time management skills and detail orientationAbility to maintain confidentiality of company informationStrong mathematical skillsExperience in accounts payableExperience with SAPExperience with banking tools and interfacesAbility to interact at multiple levels within the organizationSupervision ResponsibilitiesSelf-starter with creative approach to problem solvingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to flex and adapt to working in a changing environmentDemonstrate an ability to quickly build relationships based on doing the right thing#J-18808-Ljbffr
