Job Description To provide legal solutions to legal and business challenges within a business area, to mitigate legal risks and partner with the business on the implementation of policies to comply with legal and regulatory requirements in relation to business processes. To consult with internal clients to understand business requirements and provide sound legal advice pertaining to the drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and/or negotiation of legal documentation and processes, providing clear legal direction based on sound judgment. Have a good understanding of Risk Management and how it impacts the Legal environment and vice versa . Implement and abide by policies, procedures, standards and frameworks. Demonstrate leadership behaviour through personal involvement, commitment, and dedication in support of organisational values. Draft, review and manage a contracting process from inception to implementation. Be able to provide insights into risk matters and provide solutions from a Legal Risk Management perspective. Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders. Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives, and relevant industry practices and be able to find application for this within the working environment, whilst always striving to limit the risk exposure of the Group. Negotiate terms of contracts with third parties on behalf of the Bank. Manage third party relationships on behalf of the Bank. You will be an ideal candidate if you: Have an LLB or LLM degree. Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at senior specialist level. Have experience in the Information Technology space. Have experience in Operational Risk Management and Legal Risk Management. Have a honed ability to draft and review commercial contracts in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
