As a Financial Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the financial operations of the organization. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strategic financial planning, and compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, you will lead a team, and assist in tax compliance and audits. Continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for automation are integral aspects of this role, aimed at enhancing financial processes, reducing manual tasks, and improving overall financial performance. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Conduct financial analysis to provide insights supporting decision-making. Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Ensure finance calendar adhered to. Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes and explore automation opportunities. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling. Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights into the financial performance of the organisation. Continuously improve financial analysis techniques and reporting formats , with a focus on automation. Budgeting and Forecasting : Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish accurate and realistic budgets. Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning initiatives. Monitor and analyse budget variances, identify areas of concern, and propose corrective actions. Seek opportunities for streamlining budgeting and forecasting processes. Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to minimise tax liabilities. Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed. Continuously assess and implement improvements in tax compliance and optimisation. Reconciliation and Review: Oversee the review and reconciliation of various accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in financial records. Implement process improvements in reconciliation and review procedures. Payment and Journal Review: Review payment requests and journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide guidance and training staff on best practices. Continuously identify and implement improvements in payment and journal review processes. Banking and Treasury: Manage banking relationships and optimise treasury operations. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks. Implement cash management strategies to maximise returns while minimizing risks. Continuously seek ways to improve banking and treasury operations. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment while identifying opportunities for team and process improvements. Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requests. Address audit findings and implement necessary improvements in financial controls and practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, encouraging employees to identify and implement process enhancements. Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department. Bachelor's degree in Accounting w Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a supervisory role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
