The client is looking for a talented and experienced PV Design Engineer and Proposal Specialist. This role combines technical expertise in solar PV system design with strong proposal writing and project management skills. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing comprehensive project proposals for solar PV projects ranging from 5MW to 50MW, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:1. PV System Design -Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of solar PV projects, considering factors such as solar resource availability, land suitability, and grid connection requirements.Develop detailed design layouts and specifications for solar PV systems, including solar panel arrays, inverters, mounting structures, and balance of system components.Perform shading analysis, energy yield calculations, and financial modelling to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of solar PV projects.Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure that project designs meet technical requirements and regulatory standards.2. Proposal Development -Lead the development of comprehensive project proposals for solar PV projects, ranging from small to medium-scale installations.Gather project requirements from clients and stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and objectives.Prepare technical proposals, drawings, and documentation that outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budget estimates.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, legal, and finance, to develop competitive and compelling proposals that meet client expectations.Review proposal documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards and industry best practices.3. Project Management Support -Provide technical support during project implementation, collaborating with project managers and field teams to address design-related issues and challenges.Assist in project scheduling, procurement, and vendor selection activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.Conduct post-project evaluations and performance assessments, identifying opportunities for process improvement and lessons learned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in solar PV system design, proposal development, and project management.Proficiency in PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, PVCase or PVSOL, as well as AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.Strong proposal writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and compelling manner.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE) related to solar PV design and installation.Experience in renewable energy project development, including familiarity with financing mechanisms and development timeframes, is advantageous.Strong experience in the processes of utility-scale energy projects (Solar PV or Wind)Understanding of the PV/Wind plants and HV facilities construction technology.Previous work in an EPC company, Energy developer would be an added advantage.Valid Drivers Licence
