Matric essentialCertificate / Diploma will be an advantageMinimum of 4-5 years parts working experience is essentialMS Office Proficiency inOutlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, This position reports to the Head of Parts Business.Duties:Discuss with Management regarding new developments and improvements within the parts offeringsAdvising teams of parts commonalities between machines maintaining system parametersLiaising with the relevant factories teams regarding partsLiaising with all divisions regarding parts technical requirementsAssisting customers (Internal and External) with information and advice regarding the parts and componentsAnalysis of existing APRs (Additional Parts Requirements/Safety Stock) and incoming requests to establish the validity and necessity thereofCompile recommended and critical parts list for site and customer specificVerify recommended parts orders for exchanges by analyzing time frames with system recommendation machine specificMonitor part CSIs to clear or upgrade parts in stock and submit Capture lost sales and report on the reasons related to the lossesCompare local vs Internal parts pricingThe Parts Controller is responsible for analysing parts requirements from a technical perspective and making recommendations to ensure we optimise our parts inventory holding and procurement practices. Analysis of existing inventory and recommended spare parts lists will form part of the roleMaintaining Good Relations with internal stake holdersSupplying a written summary report of sales improvements, opportunities, and challenges on a fortnightly basis to his direct superior, report to include recommendations, projects, initiativesExploring opportunities for potential cost savings and discussing possible strategies with his direct superiorMaintaining regular contact with all stake holders to ensure maximum output is achieved in parts supply.Job related skillsAnalyticalExpert technical knowledge in parts and components Identifying opportunities to optimise the parts offerings.Excellent interpersonal relationship skillsGood communication skillsIdentifying and defining problems in technical termsTeamworkStrategic thinkingProject planningForward thinking
